Ali Robinson Decorex 2018 – After show!

The new collection was successfully launched at Decorex, as part of London Design Week.

The home team, Weber Industries and Decorex’s phenomenal crew ensured a smooth set up – thanks to a serious planning phase – and we then enjoyed 4 days of discovery.

Decorex’s scale is pretty overwhelming, but as a team we managed to get around it and have some great conversations with other exhibitors and potential collaborators for the future. It was particularly good to talk to exhibitors in the ‘Futures’ and Craft areas who, like us, were experiencing a show of this kind for the first time. It was great too to see old friends and discuss new partnership ideas.

We had many visitors to the stand. It was fantastic to be able to share the collection with such a range of people and professions. It’s always gratifying when a fabricator praises the quality of the work or an interior designer can think of a place for a piece of the collection. A big thank you to those who came by and showed such genuine interest in the work.

The plan was always to move the collection back to Peckham to extend the opportunities to show it to a wider audience and invite our Decorex visitors to have a second viewing. We have secured the perfect space, right at the heart of Peckham’s vibrant artistic community. We will be sending out an invitation to the opening in our next newsletter, so do keep an eye out for it! A very exciting next chapter.
